Connie Wahl’s Design Works

About Connie:  “A lifetime resident of the Dover/New Philadelphia area, I currently reside in Dover.  After working in HR, marketing and accounting for Zimmer then in HR for ProVia, Union Hospital and Progressive Foam, I was taught to make lampwork beads and kumihimo weaving which tapped into my creative side and my love of jewelry.  I attended Kent State University and graduated fro Malone University and gained on-the-job jewelry knowledge working for Findlay Fine Jewelry.  In addition to caring for my grandsons and other family members, and bookkeeping for Industrial Finishers, I have created my won business: Connie’s Design Works.”

Kumihimo: The centuries old art of Japanese braiding.  This unique style is such a wonderful addition to our Gallery’s collection.

Lampwork Beads: Beads made by melting glass rods around a steel mandrel then placing them into a kiln to anneal/harden. With proper care, annealed beads should last a lifetime.

Stop in the Gallery to see all of Connie’s sparkling pieces!
