Akron Area Wedding Photography {Scott and Kelli}
I like real people. They know that life isn’t perfect but they’re are not afraid. They know that marriage will be hard work but they embrace their future together with open arms. They aren’t afraid to laugh…even at themselves. Scott and Kelli are all of this and so much more. There are so many things that I could share with you, but I thought that few things would explain them as well as their vows to each other.
Scott’s words to Kelli:
“I, Scott, take you, Kelli, to be my lawfully wedded wife. You are my best friend and soul mate, and I promise to always make you happy and fulfill your dreams in our life together. In front of our friends and family gathered here I promise to love and cherish you throughout the good times and bad. I assure you that I will always, from now on, take out the flag stick when you are putting on the green. I declare that I will try to remember to put down the toilet seat and to relinquish the remote control every now and then. I will adore you as much as the Cleveland Browns and not hold your love of 80’s movies against you. I promise to love you in sickness and in health, from this day forward, until death parts us, or you become a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.”
And Kelli’s words to Scott:
“I take thee Scott, the love of my life, and promise to take care of you, honor and respect you, support you, cherish you, and love you forever. I will take care of you when you are ill or when you need comforting after your team loses. I will honor and respect you as a man and will accept that I can never defeat you in golf, or any other sport for that matter, except tennis. I will support you and be your strength whenever life throws you a curveball. I will cherish that we are, and always will be, best friends and companions for life, and look forward to enjoying all the activities we love to do together, like playing golf and tennis, hiking trails, riding our bikes, and just being together. And most of all, I will love you. I love that you know how to make me smile and laugh, even when I’m being difficult. And I love that you are a patient, kind, and wonderful man. You are truly the best thing that has ever happened to me and look forward loving you and spending the rest of our lives together. “
They wrote these separately and never knew what they other wrote until their wedding day. I think they sync up perfectly…just as I know Scott and Kelli will.
Here are my favorites from their day. I had an incredibly hard time narrowing these down.

Kelli and her mom.

I love this moment–the moment when she puts her dress on–and becomes the bride she’s been waiting to be.

Scott and Kelli were very nervous about the weather when I met with them earlier that week. As you can see, they had nothing to worry about. Love, love, love the color in this one.

Kelli and her bridesmaids made a stop at the studio for some fun shots. I wish I could share a bunch with you right now….but here’s a taste of how cute they are.

The ceremony was held at Occasions Party Center…just beautiful grounds.

I love the joy.

Oh yes, they love each other. Beautiful.

Dave got this shot right after the ceremony. It’s one of my favorites of the day.

The day turned out perfect and their colors just popped.

I just had to throw this last one is as well.

There is a slideshow to come. I spent the night in the ER with my little one (who is absolutely fine…just a false alarm.) Unfortunately, I got behind and will be posting the slideshow tomorrow. I want it to be perfect and don’t want to rush through it tonight. Thanks so much to Scott and Kelli for their patience. Post #2 coming tomorrow.
For Kelli…
I know Kelli is watching and waiting for her wedding slideshow. It will be ready by tonight (hopefully before midnight) so be sure to check back to see it. I think you will all agree it was just beautiful.
But, until then…I have one more sneak peek for you.

Mac and Me
I did it. I finally switched from PC to Mac. It arrived today in it’s sleek little white packaging and I have to say so far I am quite impressed. I’ve been fumbling through much of the navigation but it’s like a well organized kitchen…it makes sense. So far so good.
I know there are a few of you waiting for your sneak peeks and I promise you I am working on all of them. We have so many GREAT sessions to share I wish I could process everything now and show you what I mean but I have literally days of editing to do. If my plan works though, this new Mac should speed up the process.
Until I can share more with you, I have two images for you to check out:
Angela is one of our brides for next year. Dave had a session with her family before Steve and Angela’s engagement shoot. I am jealous that I wasn’t able to make it. Look how cute this shot is…And there are so many more like it.

Then…I met the cutest little guy last week. He’s my new buddy. Here’s the {G Family}. Just adorable.

Stay tuned this week and next for:
-Scott and Kelli’s wedding
-Aaron and Rachel’s Engagement Session
-The {F} Family
-The {G} Family
-Steve and Angela’s Engagement Session

Casey pulled “The Move” on her. You know, the one where the guy yawns and stretches in the dark theater and leans in for a kiss. It worked. They were in eighth grade and that was his very first kiss. Awwwwwwwww, right? It ended soon after and life separated them for a number of years. They grew up, graduated from high school, and “real life” began. She ended up in Cleveland for school and then work. He had a different path..one that led him eventually to Columbus.
They may have never seen each other again except for that picture he came upon. One look at her again and he had to know what she was up to. He found her on Facebook and they soon met up back in their hometown at Christmas time. The rest as they say is history.
One evening after they’d been together a while, Casey met Jennifer in their old stomping ground. As they walked past the theater they got to talking about what was playing. Jennifer checked the marquee and to her amazement read, “Will You Marry Me?” By the time she turned around, Casey was one one knee. She said yes and they are now planning a super exciting New Year’s Eve wedding. Dave and I are so thrilled to be a part of it.
They are right for each other, but they are oh so wrong. One of the first things they said to me is that they are an “un-photogenic couple”. Right. Sure. Except, take a look at these…

Oh my goodness, could they be any more perfect?

It was cold and muddy but Casey couldn’t be deterred. He picked Jennifer right up and walked her to the perfect photo op. See, chivalry is not dead.

Thanks Casey and Jen. Can’t wait ’til December 31.

So many pictures…so little time.
I sit in front of my computer and I don’t know what to work on first! In the last couple weeks, we have shot some awesome sessions. I have a full sneak peek coming soon for both of these couples, but for now, I will leave you with a small taste of what’s in store.
Enjoy!
Allow me to introduce Casey and Jennifer. And this is merely the tip of the iceberg…

And…remember Scott and Kelli? The big day was beautiful…the weather, the grounds at Occasions, the bride…
