I Heart Faces Contest
I regularly read almost 20 blogs by photographers all over the country. By far my favorite (shhh…don’t tell the others) is Jasmine Star‘s. I am not alone either…she is an amazing photographer out of Orange County and has taken the wedding photography industry by storm.
It was this morning on her blog that I learned of the contest that I Heart Faces puts on weekly. This week the theme is “wedding bells,” and the main rule is simply that the photograph contain a face. Sounds easy enough, right? Jasmine Star is this week’s guest judge, so not only can I enter this great contest, but I have a guarantee that Jasmine Star will be visiting this (yes, folks, that’s right…) very blog! I wonder if I’d be jumping the gun to call her my new BFF?
As soon as I read the contest rules, the photo below came to mind. We have it hanging over one of the pub tables at the studio. It never fails to catch my eye. As corny as the old cliche can be, don’t you feel like you can see right into her soul?

The day was freezing. No, really, I mean COLD! This little angel was cuddling up with her mom for warmth. Her red hair, creamy skin, and those eyes are just mesmerizing, don’t you agree? I see one or two broken hearts in the future…poor guys, they don’t stand a chance.
(Thanks Jasmine. It’s an honor. With all the admiration in the world…Amy Cameron)

Love the picture. I think we love pictures of young children because they show true emotion which in turn tugs at your heartstrings.
